Gordon Brown is celebrating his first birthday

Gordon Brown is celebrating his first birthday as Prime Minister today - he's 57.
But don't expect Amy Winehouse in a sequin mini lisping "Happy Birthday Mr Prime Minister" at an O2 Centre Gala Dinner.
After PMQs and a speech on citizenship, his spokesman says he plans to celebrate quietly at home with his family. At least it's the home he's always dreamt of.
PS And inspite of being co-opted in the latest tourist campaign for Fiji, including being projected on the side of Big Ben (though not naked like Gail Porter), Number 10 says Mr Brown has "no plans" to visit the tropical paradise.
